Zac Koshy DNB, FRCS(G)
Dr. Koshy graduated from the Armed Forces Medical College, India in 1996. After completing his basic ophthalmic training at the Aravind Eye Network he underwent higher specialist training in Glasgow followed by advanced fellowships in surgical retina and medical retina in Glasgow and Newcastle.
He has a wide experience in the latest treatments for retinal disease as well as cataract surgery. He is in charge of postgraduate training in the department and sits on the West of Scotland training committee. He is on the faculty for surgical training at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and the European School of Advanced Studies in Ophthalmology. His research interest is in retina with involvement in multiple international trials and he lectures widely in this field. He is the clinical director of his NHS department and chairs the Medical Advisory Committee at the Nuffield Hospital Glasgow.
