HOW iSTENT inject® WORKS
iStent inject® works like the stents used to prevent heart attacks and strokes. When vessels get clogged, a stent opens them up to increase the flow of fluid. This stent is made of medical grade titanium and is designed to create a permanent channel through the primary blockage site (trabecular meshwork) to restore the eye’s natural outflow. Restoring this natural outflow can lower and control pressure within the eye.
