Our Eye Treatment Services
Refractive Lens Exchange- This treatment is quite similar to typical cataract surgery, as both operations involve replacing a natural lens with an intraocular lens (IOL). However, whilst cataract surgery is performed to reduce misty vision, RLE is carried out in order to reduce the necessity of using glasses or contact lenses.
Cataract Surgery - Our cataract surgery treatment is second to none in Scotland. This type of surgery is performed when the patient has cloudy vision in the lens of their eye(s). When the natural lens is removed, an artificial one is put in its place which reduces the blurry and hazy vision the cloudy lens was causing.
Laser Vision Correction - Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK) is a type of laser vision correction that can reshape a cornea. We deploy this advanced procedure so that a patient using prescription glasses or contact lenses will no longer need them, as their eye’s refractive error will have been fixed.
Implantable Contact Lens - This next generation eye treatment known as EVO, is the process of implanting contacting lenses behind the iris, leaving the corneal tissue intact. What this means is that the process can be carried out quickly with a short recovering period. And should the need ever arise the process can even be reversed.
Glaucoma - Glaucoma is a serious eye disease that has become the leading cause of blindness in people over the age of 60. We offer private treatments that deal with various types of glaucoma, ensuring anyone suffering from the disease has a treatment option here.
Keratoconus - Also known as conical cornea, this condition causes a typically round cornea to become cone shaped, which affects the vision of the eye itself. Alongside transplant surgery, we also offer Intacs to remedy keratoconus, which are artificial inserts that help to fix the shape of the cornea.
Corneal Cross-Linking - This procedure is minimally invasive, and can be carried out in a short period of time meaning a quick recovery for the patient. Corneal cross-linking involves creating brand new links between the collagen fibres of the cornea, improving the strength and stability of the cornea itself.
Corneal Transplant Surgery - We perform transplant surgery for the cornea, in order to improve various vision errors such as keratoconus, eye infections, or fuch’s dystrophy. There are many types of corneal surgery available, and they are tailored to the exact needs of the patient, ensuring they get the right treatment.
Macular Degeneration - Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is an issue caused by your retina, and there are two types of AMD, Dry & Wet. Whilst there are no eye treatment options for Dry AMD, it is the less serious form, whereas Wet AMD can be serious and thankfully has treatment options we offer.
Laser Posterior Capsulotomy - This outpatient procedure is carried out on a patient with an IOL lens that has become cloudy or blurry, which was originally implanted to treat cataracts. The artificial lens is made clear again by laser treatment, allowing the patient to have their proper vision back.
Vitrectomy - We offer this eye surgery to treat issues with the retina and vitreous of an eye. Depending on the patient’s unique needs vitrectomy can involve repairing a detached retina, removing scar tissue causing vision issues, and removing blood or other substances blocking vision in the retina.
Laser Trabeculoplasty - Direct Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (DSLT) is a form of non-contact therapy that helps to reduce intraocular pressure in your eye. We provide unique treatment plans that are tailored to each patient, meaning periodic treatment is arranged based on your needs, ensuring you receive the best possible care with us.

What happens at an eye clinic?
